Every week a new leak arrive for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. As the release date keeps getting nearer, the rumors keeps getting stronger. Now the reports suggests, Samsung might skip upgrading the camera from last year’s model as the new leak supports such claims.
Informed by a tipster, the Galaxy S26 Ultra camera’s main sensors will remain just as before in terms of hardware that we have noticed in the Galaxy S25 Ultra has been. While there will changes in the telephoto sensors, currently 10MP.

To be specific, the 3x telephoto camera will now have a 12MP Samsung S5K3LD sensor. There’s also another leak by the tipster, saying the S26 Ultra video capturing will now have another APV video codec support. Meaning, you will probably get much more high-quality and efficient video recording & editing capability.

As of now, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will come with a 200MP Samsung HP2 main camera, 50MP JN3 ultrawide unit and a 50MP Sony IMX854 periscope telephoto setup with a 5x optical zoom like before. As for the front camera, we will be getting Sony’s 12MP IMX874 sensor, as tipsters claim.
